Andrew Carnegie was a Scottish immigrant who became an American entrepreneur. Carnegie and his parents moved to Pennsylvania as a child, where he and his family enjoyed a more comfortable living. One of America's largest corporations was later formed by Carnegie, Carnegie Steel Company.


Carnegie's success as an entrepreneur matched his success as an angel investor. Investments were made in numerous automobile firms, messenger services, and property with oil deposits. At the time of his death in 1919, Carnegie was thought to have a net worth of $350 million, which translates to around $5.5 billion in 2021 currency.


Henry Ford


In contrast to Andrew Carnegie, Henry Ford was born and raised in Michigan as a natural-born citizen. He was well-off but not affluent because he was born into an English and Irish family. Henry Ford worked tirelessly throughout his life and finally became an apprentice at the Detroit Dry Dock Company.


As far back as 1891, he met with inventor Thomas Edison and shared his vision for the vehicle. A favorable response from Edison allowed Ford to design and produce two prototypes in his warehouse.


The Detroit Automobile Company was created after Ford used the prototypes. As a result of the product failing to fulfill Ford's requirements, the firm was forced to close its doors. Before founding Ford, he founded the Cadillac Motor Car Company, doomed to failure.


Oprah Winfrey


Oprah Winfrey is a shining example of a successful American woman. Winfrey was sexually assaulted at the age of nine and became pregnant at fourteen, but she tragically miscarried the child. Those early hardships and setbacks gave her the perspective and confidence to land her first television show in 1983. As her brand and empire developed, Winfrey established Harpo Studios 1988, a multimedia firm.


The Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) was launched in 2008 by Winfrey and Discovery Communications, attracting millions of people to their television sets. With a net worth of $2.6 billion as of December 5, 2021, Oprah Winfrey has gone from TV star to business mogul.

Bill Gates, a well-known American entrepreneur in the technology sector, will be the world's fourth-richest person on December 5, 2021, with a fortune estimated at approximately $133 billion. When Gates was a kid growing up in Seattle, Washington, he and his friend Paul Allen were messing around with computers. Bill Gates was accepted to Harvard University, where he met Steve Ballmer and later founded Microsoft after dropping out.


When Gates and others worked together to build Microsoft to its current market valuation of over $1 trillion, they created one of the world's largest and most prominent technology businesses.
